spoiled

squeezing the grandeur of your potential
until your canals are dry and
your pulse
-into dust 

burn the fragrance of livid appearance
as a candle extinguishes in wet dark 
-an affect of liquid power  

in the core, all disappears 
all that is left -

chemicals, which on the outside convey semantics 
of an unfolding and folded time
spilling tepid replicas of a death repeating
diluting the chasms with the weight of tragic patience
